Do you like fun and adventure in the outdoors?

Try Rogaining, a strategy and adventure sport for all ages and levels of fitness. Walk, run or ride in teams of 2–5, navigating with map and compass to collect points at various locations. 

Escape the city rush, take a breather in and around beautiful Second Valley, while raising funds for Asthma Foundation SA. Our fundraising target this year is $60,000.

Team up with family and friends on foot or mountain bike. No experience necessary!

Take a Breather Charity Challenge. Saturday 23rd June 2012. Second Valley, 70km south of Adelaide.

In just a few simple steps, you will be signed up for the Take A Breather Charity Challenge to raise funds for Asthma Foundation SA. Your own fundraising page will be set up automatically so you can easily email friends, family and colleagues for sponsorship support. All donations are tax-deductible.

Strategic planning and teamwork come into play as you traverse the Fleurieu Peninsula bush land, steep coastal cliffs and fascinating geological formations taking in the spectacular Second Valley scenery and the seas of the Gulf of St Vincent. Breathe the fresh open air with your colleagues in this tranquil, rural setting.

You’ll compete for approximately 6 hours (by foot) or 4 hours (by mountain bike). On the day at 8:30am you will receive a map and complete instructions to start Rogaining. The day concludes with a gourmet dinner for all competitors. The aim is to raise as much money as you can to help South Australians breathe better, then have a heap of fun!

Tips & Tricks to Rogaining session - Tuesday 22 May

If you want to learn more about rogaining, come and join us for a FREE comprehensive ‘Tips & Tricks to Rogaining’ session on Tuesday, 22 May from 5:00-6:30 pm, at Santos Centre, 60 Flinders St, Adelaide. You must RSVP by Monday 21 May to lorena@asthmasa.org.au.

You will learn how to plan, execute and adapt for the 6 hours rogaine and 4 hours cyclogaine; how to navigate using a compass and reading a map and all the ‘tips & tricks’ from the expert to cover more terrain.
 

Get your rogaining L plates’ - Saturday 2 June

Come and  ‘Get your rogaining L plates’ at Para Wirra on Saturday 2 June – 10am to 4pm.

Training starts at 10am at Parra Wirra Recreation Park. Follow the Rogaine signs from main entrance – (which would be here - http://goo.gl/0NTE1)

Bring walking gear, comfortable shoes, compass, food and water for yourself. Maps will be provided.
